Further Evaluation - Matt Bishun

Evaluation Criticism

One criticism of our piece was our close attention to various aspects of mise en scene. This aspect was lighting. We didn't concentrate too much on this area and I believe if we had, then our film would have been better.

The use of perhaps bright lighting towards the victims face while he was sitting on the chair, could have been a possible situation in which we could have used this. This would give the viewers an idea of the victims cuts and bruises on his face from the interrogation. Also, we didn't apply cuts or bruises to the face of the victim, therefore these two aspects of mise en scene could have worked well together.

Such as this, for example:

In order to improve it, we would consider all areas of mise en scene and work out what needs to be done to cover these. This would avoid us missing out some areas and make sure we included every single one in our film, such as costume and setting.

Below is a video we should have used from YouTube which explains how to apply the fake cuts and bruises.
